This estate blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah appears brick red with violet tints in the glass. This lovely sweet wine offers intense aromatics of blueberries, strawberry jam, dried plum, butterscotch, honey and turned earth; thick, heavy and unctuous on the palate, the rich, stewed berry fruit flavours are underpinned by a tangy acidity and full, round body.
This wine appears ruby-garnet, great aromatic depth that shows sour cherry, raspberry and beetroot, with smoke, vanilla, leather and spice following. The mid-palate shows firm tannin and weight, savoury and spicy notes, and a dry, warm finish.
The 2015 vintage of our Trek Vineyard Pinot Noir displays a light freshness and elegance evident in cool climate expressions of the grape. The nose shows sour cherry, red currant, lilac, and a woodsy earthiness. The palate delivers light tannins and bright acidity, with savoury dried herb and gentle oak notes overlaying the fruit.
The 2016 Tom Thomson Algonquin Red is a unique vintage blend of the Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, barrel-aged in French oak cooperage for 10 months before blending. The Cabernet Franc imparts flavours of raspberry, currant, spice and dried herbs, while the Merlot adds weight and texture and ripe fruit notes of Damson plum and strawberry and a little cocoa.
This blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot was produced using the saignée method, with juice from red wine fermentations being siphoned off of the grape skins after a short maceration period, resulting in a visually attractive pink hue in a juicy, fruity wine with loads of ripe berry and stone fruit flavours. Medium body and an attractive, lingering finish.
